Pismo Shoot

Dear People,
I am the type of person who is always looking for a reason to take pictures of a person. For example, my latest reason was the sun. It was a Gorgeous evening in Pismo Beach, so we hopped in the car and here is where we ended up. Joey was my "model" for this shoot.

So here we are, the sun bein' all, sunny and stuff & Jo-Jo lookin' all adorable! Most of these photographs are taken on the landscape setting. Landscape is literally the bomb! What it does is it brings more depth to the photos. One really awesome tip if your really bad at making the photos horizon level is to follow the little boxes in the little hole you look through... You have no idea how hard it is to explain! Just take a look at the photo below.

This is what I see through my lens. See those little boxes with the dots in the middle? If you want a perfectly straight horizon, you could line up the bottom or top of the boxes to the horizon. I have done this SO MANY TIMES!!! It is an awesome thing to keep in mind and then later, its less for you to edit!
So moving one...

Another perfect example of a level horizon!

This was taken with my amazing ZOOM Lens!! To learn more about the ZOOM LENS, click on the link~ ZOOM LENS

More Jo-Jo Bean! This is at the Monarch Butterfly Park. Such an amazing time when those Monarchs come around.

Finally got a shot of a silhouette! I love it SO Much!!

And last but not least... this tree. It was amazing! From this angle it looks like it belongs in a forest!
Well Guys, that's its for today! Be Sure to check out My ZOOM LENS entry.

My ZOOM LENS!

Dear Reader,
So I'm Guessing you've heard about my zoom lens. It's my baby. I hardly use it, but when I do, I feel like Veronica Mars! It is absolutely my favorite lens. Here's a quick shot of the famous Zoom lens!
To be specific, it is a 55-250mm canon zoom. It is the heaviest thing in the world, especially on a photo shoot! Your neck gets super tense and all knotted up. So just a heads up! But don't worry, your neck will get used to it, eventually.

This was taken with the zoom in my front yard. If your a crazy bird lover/watcher, this is the lens for you! This little guy here is so pretty!! I was probably ten feet away from him at the least and I still got the shot!
Above is a photograph of me with the farthest you can zoom out {55mm} with this lens. As you can tell, it decent at even getting a close up shot when necessary!

Above is a photograph of the closest you can be {250mm}. You can seriously see the dust particle on the lens itself. I used a tripod for this shot because, I personally do not have a steady hand which effects the shutter speed.

This is one of the few times I've attempted to photograph the ocean! I mean, trust me, I am no Clark Little! This is on landscape setting zoomed in 250mm!
{Not to get off the subject or anything, but...}

That one time I met Clark Little!

Well guys, I hope I entertained you with my A.D.D Blog!

Miss Rose

Work It!

Dear "Models",

Okay, so here's the truth, you are not a model. In reality, no ones a model. Pinterest is amazing, but don't be too hard on yourself. Those people are all photoshopped. If you're like me in any way, every time someone takes a picture of you, you think, oh good lord, is that how I look? The answer is NO, No you do not look like that all the time. The bad thing about cameras is that they're really fast and they always catch every ugly face you could ever make. For Example....
<<This is the Gallery of Unprepared Photographs>>
(Many of these photographs may not belong to Miss Rose Photos, Thank You)

Embrace the fact of life, that you will never be a real model! But you know what? That is OKAY!! Why? Because I, personally, am very fond of the Gallery of Unprepared Photographs. It's full of perfectly imperfect people and that is the most perfect thing of all!
Just be Yourself!
{Unless you can be Batman, then be Batman.}
Keep on shooting people!
(That sounds really bad, but I meant well.)
Keep taking pictures!
(It defiantly does not sound the same...)
Haha!

Miss Rose

Whisper Words of Wisdom, Let it Be

Dear You,
This is my latest and greatest work that I've been working on. I've been so out of my routine of photo taking, people are asking why I haven't been in their faces lately! That will soon be taken care of... ANYWAYS. This little dude is rocking out to "Come Together" by the amazing Beatles!!! I am defiantly a Beatles kinda girl. It all stated in the 5th grade on our road trip. I listened to my Beatles playlist on repeat all the way to and back from Los Angeles. When I saw this shirt at Target, I had to have it, I wish they had it in my size, I would buy it! Are you listening Target!! Work on it!

For most of the up close shots I had the setting on Portrait and for the more distanced shots I put it on Landscape. I love both of these auto settings. They make life SOOO Easy! Here's an awesome tip too! If you need some decent flash for any occasion, portrait has sensible flash settings! The Second Shot Down has the flash on, which I never do. There's always a first for everything though, right?

Well, what more can I say, I had a blast with little man! Please comment below and let me know what you think! Oh,  I almost forgot, Pookie says Hi!

Miss Rose

Meet Beka...

Dear Persons,
Meet Beka. This woman is one of the many strong women I hope to be like. She's a single mother of three and has PKD (Polycystic Kidneys). She is the most amazing, courageous person I've ever met! Being one of her best friends, (Even though she'd never say so herself) I know almost everything about her. She hates to smile, a real smile, because her eyes disappear. I completely understand, it happens to me too! But what we see, she has never seen. We are all used to her true smile because that's what we see all the time. She doesn't know it yet, but I made her laugh a lot yesterday on our photoshoot for a reason. Her natural reaction was priceless and my personal favorites. Trust me, you'll know which is which. Now then, when she reads this, I'm in BIG trouble. If your reading this Mama, Love ya!

Cutest Dogs Ever!

Dear Shadows,
I am in love with these miniature Husky's!! SOOO MUCH FUN! We went down to the beach and had a blast. Shoots like these make me love photography even more, and I LOVE photography. Check them out!
The Tide was in, the puppies were playful, and I had my camera set on Sport mode!
Kisses.

One Big Happy Family

Winter.

River.

Wisteria.

And this tiny guy!

I KNOW YOU ALL JUST SMILED BECAUSE THAT LAST PICTURE WAS THE CUTEST THING YOUVE EVER SEEN.
Okay, so anyways, for most of my shots from the beach I had it on Landscape mode. The sun was so stubborn, but we made it work. Never give up, there is always a way around annoying lighting problems.
Sun Issues.
Bad, Really Bad.

Same Rock, Different Angle.
Better, Much Better
Lesson- Don't be discouraged if you get a few bad shots like my first attempt. It's okay. Anyone seen the OLD OLD (1936 Kind Of Old)  movie Swing Time, Starring Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers? Anyways,  one of my favorite song in that movie, goes like this, "Pick Yourself Up, Dust Yourself Off, Start All Over Again!" Your not perfect, your gonna mess up sooner or later! IT'S OKAY! BE OKAY WITH THAT FACT, if you are, you will be a better photographer in your own eyes. BE CONFIDENT!  I know I sound crazy... but I always do, nothing new here.
Try it!
One Last One...
I Call This One Cuddles.

Yours Truly,
Miss Rose
